Educational approach.
The program is based on active learning. Learning happens when the child wants to learn, and they enjoy learning when there are materials that they can manipulate, when they can choose what they want to learn and how to do it, and when they have an adult who accompanies this learning to make it meaningful, kids apply the knowledge in real life situations and contexts.
Great educational geniuses in history such as Jung, Maria Montessori or Loris Malaguzzi are people who managed to connect with the power of intuition and conscious observation to break paradigms, we seek to do the same. Methodologies such as Reggio Emilia, Highscope and Montessori are part of our inspiration.
We know the importance of promoting STEAM (Science, Technology, Engineering, Arts, Mathematics) learning in the classroom, since they are the disciplines that have acquired a greater role in the market.
The Program also includes the bases of Positive Psychology in working with children. We understand that school should not be a place where all the emphasis is on “learning academics”, school should also be a place where children develop the strengths they need to be happy people. For this reason, we dedicate certain moments of the routine to work on their personal strengths and enhance their present and future well-being, placing special emphasis on the development of “Basic Competencies” which are autonomy and personal initiative, social and civic competence, and the competence to learn how to learn.
The moments in which we practice Mindfulness help children improve how they function physically, mentally and emotionally through techniques in which they practice paying attention to the present moment.
Multiple scientific studies prove that children who use Mindfulness tools increase their ability to concentrate and focus, develop socio-emotional skills, identify their emotions, control their impulses, increase their empathy, understanding and compassion towards others.
Respectful education - We are based on the principles of positive discipline and conscious parenting that promote empathetic discipline, mutual respect, shared control, and open communication between adults and children. We create an environment where everyone feels heard and safe so that there can be meaningful learning.
